Suggested itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Paris. Sightseeing tour of Paris including a one hour boat cruise on the river Seine.

Day 2

Morning at the Orsay museum : this museum in a former railway station have exhibits (paintings, pastels, sculptures , photographs) and stroll along Champs-Elysées avenue. Visit the Arc de Triomphe.

Day 3

Excursion to Versailles to visit the Sun King's 17th century château. Stop at Giverny to visit Claude Monet's house and garden where the impressionnist painter lived and worked for years.

Day 4

Stroll through the old town of Honfleur, a picturesque port where artists sketch daily and see the Normandy Bridge. Then visit a Calvados distillery and a local cheese factory.

Day 5

Spend the morning visiting Caen Memorial museum for Peace covering the events of the leading up to the second World War, the war years, later conflicts and Nobel Peace Prize winners. Excursion to the D-Day Beaches : Arromanches and its artificial port, the American cemetery and the Pointe du Hoc, all reminders of what began on the 6^th June 1944.

Day 6

Visit a bell foundry at Villedieu-les-Poêles in a 12^th century courtyard.Then guided visit of the famous Mont Saint-Michel's abbey and stroll on its narrow streets.

Day 7

Let you guide through the narrow and picturesque lanes city corsair of Saint-Malo and depart for Tours (Loire Valley).

Day 8

Visit the Azay-le-Rideau castle, built on an Island on the river Indre followed by the Villandry's exceptional terrassed gardens.

Day 9

Free morning in Tours for some visits on your own or some shopping and go to Chambord to visit the château. Arrive Paris.

Day 10

Transfer to airport.
